About me
Chuck Ross lives in Vermont on his 240-acre family farm where they incubate and support start up and early stage farm businesses. He currently serves as the Chair of the Intervale Center Board and on the Vermont Nature Conservancy Advisory Board. Ross has also served as the Climate Catalyst for the Extension Foundation, Director of UVM Extension and Secretary of Agriculture Food and Markets for Vermont. In addition, Ross worked as State Director for US Senator Patrick Leahy, served as State Representative in the Vermont Legislature and helped run his family’s farms in Vermont and Iowa where they raised horses, hay, corn and soybeans. Ross has also served on numerous other boards including the University of Vermont Board of Trustees and Shelburne Farms Board of Directors. Ross holds a B.A. in Geography from the University of Vermont and an M.A. in Geography from the University of Washington.
