About me
Melissa Adams is committed to helping farm businesses succeed. As Programs Manager for Farm Viability and Agricultural Business Assistance at the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources, she manages 4 programs that provide business and technical assistance and > $2 million in grants annually to farms at different stages of business and land tenure across the state. Melissa developed the Growing Your Farm Business Plan course curriculum for established farms, an FSA certified borrower training for financial management, and the Farm Pass program with guidance to provide farm transfer planning assistance to farms with identified successors. Melissa has a B.S. in Business Management from Syracuse University, an M.R.P. from UMass Amherst and 25 years of experience in agricultural and community planning. She looks forward to learning from and networking with colleagues at the National Farm Viability Conference to strengthen our collective support for the Agricultural community.
