About me
Zach Ducheneaux is a relapsing 3rd generation rancher. After divesting his cattle herd to work at the Farm Service Agency, he is now back on the family ranch, currently owned and operated by the 4th generation. His time at the FSA was spent promoting the inclusive use of discretion. This work was embodied in the implementation of Farm Loan Program rule changes desperately needed since the last Farm Financial Crisis. Zach has held many roles. Child of the Farm Financial Crisis of the 80s, beginning rancher, distressed borrower, farm advocate, Tribal Council representative, non-profit Executive Director, philanthropic board member, CDFI founder, and most recently your Farm Service Agency Administrator at the United States Department of Agriculture as a Biden Administration appointee. After the FSA he founded 5th C. A company designed to empower and enable actual investment in Ag producers in a way that allows them to retain more of their production income annually to consider how they operate.
